GA Station and Yards, Montevideo, Uruguay
Binder led the master plan for urban regeneration of the GA Station and Yards in Montevideo, transforming this historic monument into the focal point of a mixed-use, mixed-income development. She assembled a specialized team to create an innovative adaptive reuse plan that preserved the site’s heritage while supporting community revitalization. The project, Plaza La Aguada, attracted the interest of the World Bank, who invited Binder to present her methodology for adaptive reuse in urban regeneration.
